Helen Corsi-Cadmore’s business education began not in a boardroom, but on her parents’ greengrocers stall in Wales. It was there, as a shy but determined seven-year-old, she first understood a principle that would shape her life’s work. “Everything in life and business is built on relationships,” she reflects. “You build the trust with people, you genuinely care.”
This drive eventually led her to build a retail business that turned over £6 million. But behind the impressive numbers was a story of profound burnout. Helen found herself running on empty, working late, unable to sleep, and losing enjoyment in everything. “I couldn't get out of bed,” she says. “I knew that is not the reason I set up my business in the first place.”
After her health crisis, Helen redefined what success meant to her, realising it wasn’t about external markers, but about inner wellbeing. Today, as a coach and certified hypnotherapist, she helps other ambitious founders avoid the same fate, challenging the dangerous myth of ‘just pushing through’. Her approach is direct and rooted in lived experience, starting not with time management, but with an energy audit. “Most founders I work with aren't failing because they lack drive,” she explains. “They're failing because they're directing that drive at entirely the wrong things.”
By helping leaders identify and release what drains them, she guides them back to a more sustainable way of working and living. Her belief is that the antidote to exhaustion isn't simply rest, but reconnection. As she puts it, “Burnout isn't a productivity problem. It's a joy deficit.”
